The IMC provides 3 user-configurable RS-232 Serial
Ports, and a separate maintenance port. These ports are
typically used to interface to serially controlled
devices such as Laser Disk Players, CD Players, Video
Switchers, Lighting Control Boards, and Programmable
Logic Controllers. One Port can optionally be configured
to use the 3 pin Mini XLR Jack to transmit DMX-512 for
control of Dimmers, Moving Lights, and other DMX-512
controlled devices.
Each Port is configurable for software and hardware
protocol using the Media Pro 4000 Software. Since each
Port can be configured for a specific protocol, the MP4000
programmer doesn't have to learn a new language for each
type of device. The programmer always uses the Media Pro
Control Language (MPCL) to access and control the device
using the same language.
In addition, The IMC provides an 8 bit contact closure
Output Port, and an 8 bit 24 volt / contact closure Input
Port. These Ports can be connected to external indicators,
switches, and digitally controlled devices.
An external video device can provide video sync to the
IMC for synchronizing Cues and Animation with Video.
If in the future your attraction requires more Media Pro
4000 Modules you can download your configuration, cues,
and animation to an ICM in a Horizontal or Vertical
Module Rack, and add the additional modules you require;
thereby protecting your original design and programming
investment. |
